Becky Hermenze (she/they) is a performer, writer, and producer based in New York City. She began taking improv classes at the age of 15 and fell in love with comedy. Since graduating with a double BA in Cinema, Television, and Emerging Media & Theatre Arts, she has been establishing herself in the comedy and performance art scenes in NYC.
In 2023, Becky made her off-Broadway performance debut in Snatch Adams and Tainty McCracken Present It's That Time of the Month, presented by Soho Rep and the Bushwick Starr. She also served as the ASM on the production. Becky has been seen in comedy shows across NYC, including Funderground's The Church of Funderground and the New York Queer Comedy Festival, where she was a semifinalist.
Since 2019, Becky has supported the development of new works with companies such as Elevator Repair Service (Gatz, Seagull, Ulysses), Half Straddle/Tina Satter (Is This A Room), and Radiohole (Now Serving, Exposure; Artistic Advisory Committee member). She has also collaborated with artists including Jess Barbagallo, Kristin Worrall, and Becca Blackwell.
In addition to performing, Becky also works as a freelance producer, editor, and writer. She self-produces and edits her own podcast Madam Vice President, a VEEP rewatch podcast, which has amassed over 24k followers across social platforms. She also produces and edits the podcast High Heels and Punch Lines: A Comedian's Guide to Rewatching Sex and the City.
